Game of The Week - Man Utd v Tottenham H

on Fri 24 Aug 2018, 4:01 pm
The clear game of the week in the third round of Premier fixtures over the Bank Holiday weekend is
Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur on Monday 27th August.

The 8pm kick off sees the two teams who didn't do the business in the transfer window their fans expected. Manchester United with an indifferent start having lost last time out at Brighton, will be wanting to get another win so as not to lose to much ground on those above them. The ongoing issues that surface in the press over Pogba and Mourinho don't help.
On a plus side they may have some players back from injury, Sanchez being the main one.

Tottenham on the other hand have returned two wins from two after becoming the first team in Premiership history not to do any business in a transfer window, in the summer. They also saw the voodoo that is Kane not scoring in August lifted as he bagged in the 3-1 win over Fulham. It also appears that they will be at Wembley a bit longer as their new ground is not ready.

Who will get the win will depend on who turns up for United. If it is the team that took on Brighton then Spurs will fancy their chances against a mediocre outfit that defended poorly and never looked like they would win. If it is the other United then game on and you would think at home they would edge the tie.

My opinion is that United will bounce back after Brighton and clinch this one but it will likely be a close game.
