Northampton Town appoint new manager to succeed Justin Edinburgh

on Tue 05 Sep 2017, 8:53 am
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been appointed as the new manager of Northampton Town on a three-year deal.

The 45-year-old former Chelsea and Netherlands striker replaces Justin Edinburgh, who parted company with the League One club on 31 August.

Hasselbaink has previously been in charge at Burton Albion and QPR.

At present propping up League one must be a big disappointment to the Chinese company that supposedly paid £6m for a 60% stake in the club just a few months ago.

Probably is a disappointment but at end of day there is a lot of the season left to play and they can only now move in one direction from where they are which is up.
